Lady Tigers win big over Bison in opener

The Lady Tigers of Dupree opened up their season with a big win over the Bison Lady Cardinals last Tuesday night at home. Led by Dupree newcomer Tiffany Shaving, the Lady Tigers scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters. Dupree allowed Bison only one point in the second quarter to push an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter to 28 at halftime.
The Lady Cardinals mad a small run at the Lady Tigers to start the second half, scoring 11 points to the Tigers’ 15, but Dupree held Bison at bay extended their 3rd quarter lead to 32. The Lady Tiger defense again held Bison to three points in the final stanza to finish the contest with a 41-point margin over Bison, 69-28.
Junior Tiffany Shaving finished the game with a double double with 32 points and 18 rebounds and eight assists. Junior Peyton Smith finished the game with 17 points, including nailing three-three pointers.
Harding County

The Lady Tigers hit the road in their second outing of the season and traveled to Buffalo to face the Harding County Lady Ranchers. Harding County overwhelmed the Lady Tigers 49-28.
Dupree will head to Lemmon to face the Cowgirls on Tuesday and will host New Underwood on Saturday.
