‘Tis the season…to live simply

Share

There once lived a grandmother who served Folgers coffee to her family, friends and to anyone else who needed some waculapi.

Including herself.

She would stock up on it at the nearest Big Box store in order to save money. People probably even picked her up some when they were at the store on the way to grandma’s house.

Then, one day, one of her grandkids, a kid used to big city coffee shops and specialty coffee, discovered that after all these years, Grandma didn’t even like Folgers.

Grandma could have benefited from a gift card to the local grocery and ‘permission’ to spend more on something so simple.

This season, consider giving higher quality ‘simple’ things, like nice gloves, tea or coffee, handmade soaps or other artisan, high-quality goods to those on your list.

This will probably mean shopping outside the big box store. And it probably will mean a gift card. Give the gift of choice, simplicity and high quality this season.

Be the first to like.
