Takini students travel to Italy

December  22, 2012, three of Takini’s students, Kolton Belt, Gracy Curley, Cole Brings Plenty and C.E.B. student Kali Hale along with chaperones, Mary and Aleta Little Sky, flew to Italy. The students spent two weeks in Italy and flew back to South Dakota on January 2, 2013. While in Italy, each student was assigned to a host family, who would provide shelter and care for the youth. The trip to Italy was intended to form relations with the Italian people which was accomplished listening to stories each of the students shared with family and friends. The Italian government showed great interest and care for the youth who participated in the event. Air fare and all provisions needed were supplied by the Italian government and the host families.
