Brewer recognized for perfect score by Governor Daugaard

Brewer-Perfect-MathShantell Brewer, a fifth grade student at Dupree Elementary School and the daughter of Fanny and Jess Brewer, recently received a letter from SD Governor Dennis Daugaard.  As the state prepares to offer the standardized tests again this coming April, they are congratulating those students that did well last year.  Brewer is being recognized for earning a perfect score, 100% correct, on the math portion of the fourth grade DSTEP that she took in April of 2012.  The DSTEP is the spring standardized test that the state uses to assess the 3rd-8th grade and 11th grade students in the state of South Dakota.  The test covers the areas of math and reading for grades 3-8 and 11.  In addition, the 5th, 8th, and 11th grade students also take a science exam.  Dupree School is very proud of Shantell  Brewer and wishes all of their students the very best as they take their spring tests in April!
