A solitary balloon will be released in Eagle Butte accompanying prayers for Laurynn Whiteshield, who died last month in Spirit Lake, leaving behind a twin sister and bereft family and friends.

Mother Margaret Watson of St. John’s Episcopal Church will lead the service at noon on Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Memorial Tree on Main Street, Eagle Butte, across from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School.

This Friday would have been her third birthday.
