CRST Labor Day Fair and Rodeo kicks off this weekend

The 2013 Annual Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Labor Day Fair and Rodeo is set to kick off this weekend with a ton of activities for the whole family.
The Fair will kickoff off on Thursday.
Thursday
3 p.m. – Takoja Games at Upper Elementary
6 p.m. – Kid’s bike races and 10 mile bike race at Upper Elementary
Friday
8 a.m.—noon Weightlifting Competition at Fitness Center
8 a.m. – 5K REZ Walk/Run (7 a.m. Registration)
9 a.m. – 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the C-EB High School Gym.
9 a.m-5 p.m – Lakota Artist Market Domestic Exhibits at HVJ Cultural Center
10 a.m. – Play Day at the Rodeo Grounds.
6 p.m. – High School Football (C-EB vs. Red Cloud) at C-EB Football field
7 p.m. – Wacipi Grand Entry at Pow Wow Grounds
7 p.m. – Felix Creek Strong Arm Competition (across from Eagle Stop)
Saturday
8 a.m. ½ Marathon Relay (7 a.m. Registration)
9 a.m. – Men’s and Women’s Northern Plains Horseshoe Championships
9 a.m. – Kids 5k/Walk Run and races at the HVJ Cultural Center.
9 a.m. – Men’s/Women’s Slow Pitch Softball Tournament at Shupick Park
10 a.m. – Golf Tournament at Brueschke Lake (9 a.m. Registration)
11 a.m. – Wo Wasté Hand Drum Contest Pre-lims at the HVJ Cultural Center
11 a.m – Horse Races at Rodeo Grounds (Entries open from 8 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.)
Noon-6 p.m. – Games Galore
1 p.m. – Wacipi Grand Entry at Pow Wow Grounds
1 p.m. – Hand Games Youth Competition at HVJ Cultural Center
6 p.m. – Rodeo
6 p.m. – Adult Men’s and Women’s 3 on3 Basketball at Sesame Street Indian Courts
7 p.m. – Wacipi Grand Entry at Pow Wow Grounds
7 p.m. – Hand Games Adult Competition at HVJ Cultural Center
8 p.m.-10:30 p.m. – Rez Poetry Slam Wichoyie Wasaka at HVJ Cultural Center
Sunday
8 a.m.–10 mile Rez Bike Race (7 a.m. Registration)
9 a.m. – Archery at GFP Parking lot
9 a.m. – Men’s/Women’s Slow Pitch Softball Tournament at Shupick Park
10 a.m. – Men’s and Women’s Northern Plains Horseshoe Championships
Noon – Lakota Treasure Hunt at Powwow Grounds
Noon-6 p.m. – Games Galore
