WRE welcomes Leeann West-Jewett

Leeann Jewett

Leeann Jewett is the West River Eagle’s customer service person. She can help you with your Happy Ad’s, social news, and more, plus she keeps track of our money and basic circulation. Photo by T.B. Livermont

Leeann West-Jewett has joined the staff at the West River Eagle. Leeann will be the face you’ll see and voice you will hear on the phone as WRE’s new customer service person.

Jewett was born and raised in Eagle Butte and is a 2008 graduate of C-EB.  She resides in Eagle Butte along with her husband Arte and their two children Isabelle, 4, and Piper Telle, 16-months.

She currently attends Presentation College where she is pursuing a Medical Office Administration degree. She previously attended Presentation and received a Medical Coding Certificate in May 2013. She was also on the President’s List during the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters.

In what little spare time Leeanne has between school and work, aside from spending her time with her family, she has recently taken up sewing.

Top action taken: approved Tuesday's Ward II election results; rescinded February council action reducing Mayor salary, putting it back to what it was prior to action; appointed Verzella LaPlante Mayor; appointed Tyson LaPlante to fill Ward II seat. Most recent Dupree City Council meeting held on Monday, April 7, 2014. Most recent regular Dupree City Council Meeting held on March 3, 2014. Recording starts shortly after meeting was called to order and runs entire length of meeting. Main discussion points included city streets and the upcoming April election.
