At the Eagle Butte regular city council meeting on September 11, 2013, Trent Bruce, Engineer for DGR Engineering, reported that the City of Eagle Butte has been awarded $997,000 in grant money, and $1,000,056 in loan money from USDA Rural Development. The funding is set for the city’s sewer and lagoon projects including North 212 and Bringman Street. The scope of the original proposed project changed after submission of the application and a new environmental assessment will need to be completed.
