Katherine A. Eagle Staff, 79, of Eagle Butte, entered the Spiritual World on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Eagle Butte, SD

She is survived by one son, Patrick Eagle Staff of Portland, OR. Three daughters: Paulette Eagle Staff and Karen Eagle Staff-Thompson of Eagle Butte and Mary Kay Eagle Staff of Portland, OR.

Four brothers: Ernest Sun Rhodes, Jr., Jerome Sun Rhodes, Dominic Sun Rhodes and Burnette White Plume of Arapaho, WY. Nine sisters: Elizabeth Smith of Pacifica, CA; Colleen Sun Rhodes-Addison, Marie Gambler and Susan Crazy Thunder of Arapaho,WY. Olivia Burton and Anna White Plume of Ethete, WY. Sandy Whatomy of Ft. Hall, ID.  Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A one-night wake began at 5:00 p.m., Monday December 30, 2013, at the Johnson Cultural Center at Eagle Butte, SD. Funeral Services began at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, at the Cultural Center. Burial followed 3:00 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are with Rooks Funeral Home of Eagle Butte, SD.
