The cold weather these last few weeks has caused havoc nationwide, but closer to home the cold temperatures have caused a bit of heating crisis with soaring propane prices.

The price increases were blamed in part to a nationwide shortage on propane. In Eagle Butte, the price of propane rose from $2.00 per gallon to over $4.00 per gallon as market prices skyrocketed due to demand for propane.
