Saint Paul Resident, Louis Maynard Jones, Jr., age 53, passed away at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska on December 21, 2013.

Louis was born in Pierre, South Dakota to the late Louis Sr. and Marie Jones on September 17, 1960.

Louis was a Solid Waste Manager with the City of St. Paul until his retirement in November 2013. He was a long time member of the St. Paul Volunteer Fire Department and retired as Chief in 2011. Louis was also a member of the Emergency Medical Technician Squad. He was an advocate and volunteered his time with Victim Services; an organization against Domestic Violence. Louis was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed camping, barbequing and hiking.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Brenda Jones; son Dustin Jones; granddaughter Leslie Jones; grandson Caleb Zacharof; brother Joseph Jones; sister-in-law Barbara Iron Wing; sister Chauncina Bourdukofsky; brother-in-law Jason Bourdukofsky, Sr.; godfather Greg Fratis, Sr.; nieces Tara Bourdukofsky, Connie Bergo, Binni Bourdukofsky, Sharana and Chauncina Iron Wing; nephews Jason Jr., and Benedict Bourdukofsky, George Jr. and Racine Iron Wing; cousins Curtis and Keith Marshall, Leatrice Penny, Coretta Bowker, Candice, Linda, Patty and Billy Lebeau, Charlene and Michael Four Bear, Clem White Dog and Jennifer Molas; godchildren Ryan Kozloff, Kayla Kushin and Jared Philemonoff and many great grand nieces and nephews.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents Louis M. Jones, Sr., and Hazel Marie Jones; brothers George Sr. and Larry Iron Wing; grandson Dyllan Jones; godmother Alice Philemonoff; nephew Mark Iron Wing; and Aunts Hazel Four Bear and Dorothy Lebeau.

A burial service was held at the Saints Peter & Paul Church in St. Paul, Alaska where he was remembered by many. Louis was laid to rest at the St. Paul Cemetery.
