Robert W. Sands


Robert W. Sands, Vietnam Veteran, and formerly of Eagle Butte, SD, entered the Spiritual World on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Banner-Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, A.Z.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Sands of Winslow, A.Z.; one son, Benjamin Sands, of Chinle, A.Z.; two daughters: Carla Bia of Chinle and Roberta Sands of Queen Creek, A.Z. Three brothers: Steve Brown Wolf and Clem White Dog of Eagle Buttte and three sisters: Darla Strong Heart, Colleen Brown Wolf and Connie LeBeau of Eagle Butte. Also he survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A one night wake began at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Johnson Cultural Center at Eagle Butte, S.D. Funeral Services began at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at the Johnson Cultural Center, with Mr. Robert Charging Eagle officiating. Burial follow ed at Ascension Cemetery at Black Foot, S.D.
