PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Tribal Relations hosted the State-Tribal Relations Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. This year’s focus was on public safety.

“The safety of South Dakota citizens is one of the most important subjects we can address,” said Secretary LaPlante. “This special event is designed to provide tribal and state leaders with an opportunity to learn about each other and to exchange ideas that can lead to improved intergovernmental relations.”
