Braves defeat Cubs in Region, headed to State

For the first time in 11 years, the Cheyenne Eagle Butte Braves are returning to the State Basketball tournament after defeating the Chamberlain Cubs 70-63 for the Region 6A Championship on Monday night in Pierre.

Playing before a packed house at Pierre Riggs High School the Braves jumped out to a 23-11 lead during the first quarter. However, Chamberlain rallied on a 13-4 run to pull within one at the end of the quarter.
