C-EB runners compete at Douglas Invite

Amidst hot temperatures and wind, the C-EB Cross Country team started their season with a strong showing at the Douglas Invitational in Box Elder last Friday. “I am pleased with how the team did,” said Head Coach Shannon Jewett. “Everybody put forth a strong effort.” The field consisted of a strong Class AA presence, with four of the top five placers coming from an AA school. Rapid City Stevens Kyle Burdick won for the boys. Junior Xavier Norris led the Braves with an eighth place finish crossing the line with a time of 19:49.41. Harold Red Owl finished twelfth with a time of 20:07.44. Don’E Red Water finished 16th at 20:17.54, one place out of placing. Destiny Beautiful Bald Eagle finished sixth with a time of 17:55.45.
