Presentation College Lakota Campus hosted this year’s 2012 Certified Nursing Assistant graduation on Monday, August 13, 2012. Chairman Kevin Keckler was present and offered words of encouragement and congratulations to the graduates on their hard work and dedication to the program. Nursing instructor, Lindsey Helm and Director of PC Lakota Campus, Julie Thorstenson presented the graduates with medical gifts from the tribe to aid in their new profession as CNA’s. The intense CNA program took place at Presentation College Lakota Campus this summer and was funded by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in hopes to educate Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal members that are eligible for employment at the new Nursing Home scheduled to open in October. This group of students went through a vigorous and intense program and now contributes in a positive way to the workforce on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.
