Tigers pick up first win of season against the Moguls

The Dupree Tigers football squad picked up their first win of the season last Friday night as they traveled to the southern hills to take on the Edgemont Moguls. The Tigers rolled past the Moguls 56-14. “We played our best football so far this year,” said Head Coach Arlie Hulm. The Tigers racked up 462 yards total offense, with 344 rushing yards and 118 passing yards. “We were able to complete some nice passes and we blocked a lot better when we were running the ball.”Garrett Keegan led the offense in rushing with 153 yards including three touchdowns. Kash Deal led the Tigers in receiving with 67 yards and one touchdown.On defense Dayton Spiel led the Tigers in tackles with 10, including two sacks. The Tigers will head west to face the Newell Irrigators on Friday night and have an open week next week. The Rapid City Christian Comets come to town on October 12, 2012 for the Tiger’s last home game of the year.
